In a blatant display of political maneuvering, the Biden Department of Justice and Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg have been accused of colluding to craft an indictment against former President Donald Trump. This dubious “hush money” indictment is currently under investigation by House Judiciary Committee Chair Jim Jordan (R-OH).
In a fiery letter addressed to Attorney General Merrick Garland, Jordan demanded documents and information related to what he perceives as the Biden DOJ’s “politicized prosecution” of Trump. It’s worth noting that Matthew Colangelo, a former senior DOJ official under Biden, is now serving as a lead prosecutor for Bragg on this case.

The case largely relies on the testimony of Michael Cohen, Trump’s former lawyer who was previously convicted of tax evasion and perjury in matters unrelated to then-President Trump.
Jordan expressed his disgust at this unprecedented abuse of prosecutorial authority in a press release: “Since last year, prosecutors who promised to prosecute President Trump during their campaigns have indicted a former President of the United States and current leading candidate for that office,” he stated.

House Republicans are demanding full transparency with requests for documents and information regarding Colangelo’s tenure at the DOJ.
Jordan further criticizes Colangelo’s obsession with investigating individuals rather than prosecuting crimes in his letter to Attorney General Garland. He points out that Colangelo, while working at the New York Attorney General’s Office, led investigations into President Trump and initiated ‘a wave of state litigation against Trump administration policies.’

Colangelo was not just any DOJ employee. Upon Biden taking office on January 20, 2021, Colangelo assumed the role of Acting Associate Attorney General, making him the third highest-ranking official in the department.
The letter continues to express concern over Bragg’s politicized prosecution of President Trump and its implications for federal interests. “That a former senior Biden Justice Department official is now leading the prosecution of President Biden’s chief political rival only adds to the perception that the Biden Justice Department is politicized and weaponized,” Jordan wrote.

Meanwhile, our former president has been ensnared in Manhattan most weekdays as he defends himself against these allegations.
Legal experts have repeatedly exposed flaws in Bragg’s case against Trump. The Manhattan D.A. exploited COVID-era policies to extend the statute of limitations on an administrative payment error, typically a misdemeanor. Bragg then escalated the charge to a felony, citing a “conspiracy” to commit another crime, which he has yet to specify.
maybe someone will go to jail this time? yeah, I didn’t think so…. Amerika is evil, corrupt
under this administration , everything is corrupt . vote for sanity .
