After being dominated at the Republican presidential debate in Milwaukee on Thursday, former Vice President Mike Pence appeared on CNN and attempted to downplay the prospect of former President Donald Trump winning the 2024 GOP nomination.
Pence is adamant that Trump will not be the Republican nominee for 2024, despite the fact that the former president did not appear at the debate to even defend himself.
“Well, look, every one of us on the stage signed a pledge to support the Republican nominee,” Pence argued said. “And, frankly, my hand was raised in that spirit, just in keeping my word. But I really do believe more after last night that Donald Trump is not going to be the Republican nominee. I know that many of you in the media think this is already a rematch between Trump and Biden. I don’t see that.”
“I think last night, the American people saw hopefully — hopefully, they got a better sense of me and my role as a leader over the last 20 years,” he added. “But also, I think they got a better sense of what a deep bench the Republican Party has and that we have — we have better choices for 2024 for our party. So, I’m more confident than ever that our party is going to give us a standard bear fitted to the times, someone who’s going to lead us to victory in 2024, and I’m going to continue to work my heart out to make sure that’s me.”

As someone who voted for Trump twice and would vote for him AGAIN if he is the nominee, I am afraid if he is, We would have helped elect Joe Biden once again.
Think back to 2016. Republicans and INDEPENDENTS voted for Trump because it was an election where we all felt the same way. Consensus was “ANYONE BUT HILLARY”. We would have won that election regardless who the Republican candidate was.
In 2024, I am sorry to say, INDEPENDENTS will hold their nose and vote for Biden again. Because this time Independents, rightly or wrongly will be saying “ANYONE BUT TRUMP”.
There is no point to nominating someone who will end up losing top Joe Biden or Kamala or Newsom.

Even if Trump was the nominee for the Republican party to run for President, the 33% of the voters who support him will not be enough to win in a Presidential election.
When over 50% of the population say Trump will be convicted and will be incarcerated for his crimes.
