Texas joined a dozen other states in banning puberty blockers, cross sex hormones, and gender reassignment surgeries for children….As they should!
On Friday, Governor Greg Abbott made good on his vow to sign legislation that prohibits child mutilation in the name of “sex change” for gender-confused minors.
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott signed into law a ban on the medical transitioning of most minors. In the months leading up to this, #trans activists became increasingly threatening to lawmakers & those who support the legislation. https://t.co/q1VxA0madv

Lifesite News reports:
The signing of the new law comes weeks after the state Senate approved the bill by a 19-12 vote. As previously reported by LifeSiteNews, SB 14 bars the use of puberty blockers, cross sex hormones, and so-called “gender-reassignment” surgeries “for the purpose of transitioning a child’s biological sex as determined by the sex organs, chromosomes, and endogenous profiles of the child or affirming the child’s perception of the child’s sex if that perception is inconsistent with the child’s biological sex.”
Minors who are currently pursuing any of the since banned medications or procedures are permitted to leave their “treatment” plans over time “and in a manner that is safe and medically appropriate and that minimizes the risk of complications.”
Government funding or reimbursement for the so-called “sex changes” of minors is also barred under the law. SB 14 will take effect on September 1, 2023.
The new law is just the latest step that Texas leaders have taken to stomp out the LGBT agenda and protect innocent children and the traditional family.
In April, Texas lawmakers also passed legislation to ban biological males from competing against biological females in sports.
As of now, there has been a total of 13 states to stand up against the LGBTQ agenda and ban drugs and surgeries for minors. Another four states also passed laws to restrict child mutilation, and there are additional states fighting the courts to pass smilier laws as well.

Every single lawmaker should be backing such legislation in order to protect the children of our nation. If they are not old enough to vote or join the military, they certainly should NOT be allowed to make such life altering decisions that could leave them mutilated, sterile and depressed.
