BREAKING: East Coast Braces for Port Strike – STARTING OCT 1st!! Prepare NOW!

As of now, there are 14 ports set to close along the east coast as dock workers demand higher pay. If they do not receive an agreement for a 77% wage increase and a guarantee that their jobs won’t become automated, then they will be starting a two week strike.

The ports threatening to shut down handle about 60%-70% of imports in the United States. So if they close, we will almost immediately start to see shortages on things like gas, car parts, groceries, and essentially anything imported. This will also cause a ripple effect with cause and demand. As store shelves become more bare, inflation will rise even more.

The chaos that will ensue from this potential strike cannot be overstated. Officials have warned that every day these workers are on strike could take 4-6 days to recover, meaning just one week of striking could result in supply chain disruptions lasting over a month. And let’s not forget the added strain on those already suffering from Hurricane Helene’s devastation in the southeast.

With holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas around the corner, this disruption could spell disaster for families across the nation trying to celebrate. It’s infuriating to think about how many people will be out of work because of this unnecessary strike, further crippling our already fragile economy.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene has rightly pointed out the gravity of this impending crisis:

There is a strike on the verge of happening Tuesday Oct 1 that could cripple our economy and could leave store shelves bare by shutting down ports that handle 68% of our country’s containerized exports and 56% of containerized imports.

For every single day they strike it could take 6 days to catch up. Meaning just a 5 day strike could take a month to unload and load ships at ports up and down the East coasts and Gulf coasts!

The International Longshoremen’s Association, representing 45,000 dockworkers from Maine to Texas at 14 different ports, contracts expire Sept 30th and they are demanding higher wages equal to other dockworker’s pay and guaranteed job security that they will not be replaced by automation and AI.

1977 was the last time they went on strike. That was long before America became dependent on foreign imports for food and necessary goods.

It’s very important to understand how critical this is given that America is now in a $36 billion dollar food trade deficit for the first time in our nation’s history.

Also, the Biden-Harris administration and Congressional out of control spending has driven inflation so high that many Americans can’t afford quality of life.

I think this situation is serious and could be a crisis going into the election, holidays, and winter depending if they strike and how long it lasts.

Retailers have been trying to stock up in preparation, but it’s always smart to be personally prepared just in case.

This looming catastrophe is yet another example of how Democrats’ policies have weakened our great nation. We need strong Republican leadership to steer us away from such economic disasters.

  • Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Thank you Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. Your planned inflation should go through the roof now! Or is this a planned mini Covid to enable you to steal the 2024 election like you stole the 2020 election?

  • The longshoremen and dockworkers were offered a 30% plus increase. Have YOU gotten any increases like that???

But the greedy bastids are asking for a 77% increase. THEY MUST BE DEMOCRATS !!!!!!!!!!
