On Sunday, Senator Bernie Sanders appeared on CNN’s “State of the Union” and laid into President Joe Biden, claiming that the president accomplished a lot but claimed that 60% of Americans are living paycheck to paycheck, and our health care system is a “total disaster.”
Now, I wouldn’t agree with Sanders on the aspect of Biden accomplishing anything, but it’s no secret that many of us do live paycheck to paycheck and our healthcare system is truly a joke.
Sanders declared, “The president has a right to be very proud of many of the accomplishments that we’ve achieved in the last three years—unemployment, very, very low. We’ve brought inflation down. We’re investing in clean energy. We’re rebuilding our infrastructure. We have made real progress in a number of years, but the reality is that today, 60% of our people are living paycheck-to-paycheck. We have massive levels of income and wealth inequality. Our health care system is a total disaster. Eighty-five million people uninsured, underinsured, while the insurance companies make huge profits. The cost of pharmaceutical drugs, prescription drugs, sky high.”
He continued, “So the point is, in my view, the president should tout his very good record. We have got to continue to defend women’s right to control their own bodies. But we have to deal with the reality of life today. That’s what Roosevelt did in 1936. And that is to understand that we have massive levels of corporate greed in every part of society. The very rich are getting richer, working people are struggling.”
Sanders added, “We have got to make it clear, we’re going to stand with those workers and have a health care system that works for all, lower the cost of prescription drugs, raise the minimum wage to a living wage. So I think that was the message of yesterday.”

So the socialist is complaining about people living paycheck to paycheck when socialist policies by Biden and the democrats have caused it. All of their “ wins “ have not and will not help with inflation nor increase in wages. He can blame Biden and the fact that he is , means the democrats want Biden out in 24. Bernie Red should be a paint color. Sanders claims that FDR had a good economic policy in 1936. The policies of FDR made the recession that started under Hoover into the Great Depression. The federal government’s excise taxes were a major income source and regressively burdened the average working person. The income taxes were then relatively low, but handy for FDR to use the IRS politically. By 1936, things improved, but spending was cut and taxes were raised. That led to 1937 and 1938 unemployment rates reaching nearly 20%.

Since Biden has been in office, everything has increased in price and there are still product shortages. Housing food, utilities, clothing, all have tripled in price from just nearly four years ago. Meanwhile, we have an out of control border problem with illegals taking over and health costs are high because they require medical care which we, the American taxpayers are forced to pay for.
Biden has done all he can to destroy the USA and bankrupt individuals. Sanders needs to stop complaining. He’s made more money in congress then he ever had as a private citizen.
