WHAT DID HE SAY!? Biden Crosses the Line in Maui, Insults Survivors in Most Bizarre Way

President Joe Biden finally moseyed his way to Maui, Hawaii to speak to survivors of the the questionable fires that tore through Lahaina nearly two weeks ago. However, rather than actually helping the victims, he only made matters worse by LYING to residents with a bizarre story.

Joe told the islanders that he has a sense of what it’s like to “lose a home.”

“I don’t want to compare difficulties, but we have a little sense, Jill and I, what it’s like to lose a home,” he claimed while speaking at the Lahaina Civic Center.

“To make a long story short, I almost lost my wife, my ‘67 Corvette, and my cat. But all kidding aside, I watched the firefighters, the way they responded…And they ran into flames to save my wife and save my family. Not a joke,” Biden said.

EVEN IF that story were true, which it’s not, it is extremely insensitive and insulting to the folks who just lost absolutely everything to hear the president joke about how he almost lost his car and his cat to a small kitchen fire.

Fact check time! Drumroll please………

According to an Associated Press article in August of 2004, the fire was “small” and “contained to the kitchen,” and was under control within 20 minutes, reported the fire company chief.

The article read:

Lightning struck the home of Sen. Joseph Biden, starting a small fire that was contained to the kitchen.

No one was injured in Sunday’s fire, which started amid a storm that caused serious flooding in Pennsylvania and knocked out power to hundreds of Delaware homes and businesses.

Firefighters arrived to find heavy smoke coming from the house, but were able to keep the flames from spreading beyond the kitchen, said Cranston Heights Fire Company Chief George Lamborn.

“Luckily, we got it pretty early,” he said. “The fire was under control in 20 minutes.”

So Biden attempted to compare his small kitchen fire to ravaged homes, lives lost (most of which were children), and another 850 people still unaccounted for.

According to Mayor Richard Bissen, there have been 115 confirmed deaths as of Monday.

On Sunday, Hawaii Governor Josh Green also confirmed that most of the dead are children. He said on CBS News, “That is possible that there will be many children.”
