Woman Chained by Neck Bursts Out House Window: ‘Help Me Before He Comes Back!’

On Wednesday, a 37-year-old Louisville woman burst through the second story window of a home near Park Hill, and screamed for someone to help her “before he comes back.”

Neighbors heard her screams and called police, who found the plot of a horror movie come-to-life upon their arrival

Officers found Jonna Wilson being held captive in the home by her abusive ex-boyfriend, chained up by her neck. Now she is sharing her story of survival as police scour the area for the man responsible.

Wilson told Louisville Metro Police in a statement on Thursday, “I said, ‘This is my only time, if I didn’t get free now, I’ll be dead.”

She recalled, “He made me strip naked, he put the chain around my neck, he called his friend and said, ‘I’ve got to take this equipment back to Lowe’s. When I come back, I’m going to kill you.’ I only had a few minutes to get out.”

The victim added, “The neighbors right here, they called 911 and they came and got me. If not, he would have killed me.”

Video of her rescue was captured by neighbors and quickly went viral after being shared online. Check it out:

In the video, you can clearly see Wilson in the second story window as an officer climbs up a ladder to rescue her. Firefighters also worked diligently to break down the front door. However, they had their work cut out for them and struggled to get it open.

As Wilson explained, “Every door was screwed shut,” she said, “The fire department couldn’t even knock down the doors, that’s how bad it was screwed, every window was bolted, every exit, there is no exit in the house.”

On Thursday, LMPD reported that the front door was barricaded and that officers had to use a ladder to even get inside. It was there they found Wilson chained to the floor, with a chain around her neck, which was secured with a MasterLock and bolted to the floor with screws.

“He has a key to get inside and outside,” Wilson recollected. “You have to have a key to get out, as soon as I seen him lock the door, I knew I wasn’t going to get out. He said, ‘You want to do this the hard way or do this the easy way?’ I said, ‘I want to do this the easy way,’ so I let him put the chain around my neck and he started choking me with it.”

Her captor lured her to the home by asking her to come over and help clean the house. Wilson explained that she went over to help after he asked, “Will you please come over and clean the house, I’ll pay you, that’s all I want.”

Police stated that they are actively looking for a “known suspect, who is wanted on multiple charges, including kidnapping.”

“We will not stop looking for this suspect until he is in police custody,” LMPD media and public relations commander Sgt. Matt Sanders declared.

  • I think it would be a nice plan to chain him up to the floor in his jail cell and let his fellow inmates have their way with him. Maybe 20 years or so would be adequate.
