Another GOP candidate dropped out of the presidential election, but it’s not the one I expected to be next!
On Sunday, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis suspended his 2024 White House bid, just shy of the New Hampshire primaries, and endorsed former President Donald Trump.
I think DeSantis, like many others, truly underestimated how popular Trump would be. Iowa showed us that the Trump train is back on track and chugging along stronger than ever.
“It’s clear to me that a majority of Republican primary voters want to give Donald Trump another chance,” DeSantis announced. “I signed a pledge to support the Republican nominee and I will honor that pledge. He has my endorsement because we can’t go back to the old Republican guard of yesteryear, a repackaged form of warmed-over corporatism that Nikki Haley represents.”

This brings the primary race down to Trump and former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley, who would be smart to also end her campaign and save herself further embarrassment.
Nikki Haley should do exactly the same thing and very quickly so that everyone focuses on the most important thing. Next November
