Chris Christie, the former governor of New Jersey, once stood as a staunch supporter of Trump. However, has now turned into a relentless critic, caused quite a stir on Wednesday when he claimed the former president looks “terrible.”
Christie, in conversation with Washington Post reporter Leigh Ann Caldwell, reminisced about a 2004 dinner he had with Trump and expressed his belief that the former president harbors deep fears of prison. At the time, Christie was serving as state attorney general and had received commendation from Trump for his work on a corruption case involving the New Jersey State Senate.

“Trump would say to somebody who could prosecute him, ‘Well, great job on that John Lynch case. Amazing. You’re the best.’ Blah, blah, blah,” Christie said. He then suggested that Trump lacked understanding of what being convicted entails and claimed that Trump asked if Lynch would be going to “a real prison.”

Christie alleged that he responded by saying: “‘Oh, no, he goes to real prison… He’s gonna go to the Bureau of Prisons… They decide where he goes.’”

He further claimed that this revelation shocked Trump: “And he reached over and grabbed my arm. We were sitting next to each other and he said, ‘Oh my God, Chris, I could never do that. I could never go to jail. They tell you when to go to bed at night and when to wake up in the morning and what to wear and what to do, who you can talk to and what you can eat. I could never do that,’” further claiming that Trump had a “really ashen look on his face.”
Christie went on to say: “‘Let me tell you, everybody. He is sick to his stomach every day… There’s two things that Donald Trump fears more than anything, going to jail or being broke.’”

Despite his own struggles with weight issues, Christie didn’t hesitate to comment on the former president’s health. He stated that Trump looked physically unwell and suggested that a criminal trial would be a terrible ordeal for him.
It’s actually funny that he would comment on Trump looking terrible when Christie looks like he eats 10 Happy Meals a day. And the good people of the internet started a roast session the moment the footage of his comments came out.
